I've only told a handful of people in my life that I'd love to one day be a fireman. Their response is usually the same:
"But firemen have to jump into burning buildings-- What if you die?"
What if I do? By now, I'd like to think I've acquired a zen philosophy of when it comes to whatever's afterlife.
We're all going to go at some point. Doesn't matter whether it's from a delicious lighting bolt, or forgetting to take your old people medicine.
I like to be social, so if Heaven's real, I'd like to fly up there and hang out with Hunter S. Thompson and Kurt Vonnegut.
I also appreciate peace and quiet, so if death is an empty abyss of nothingness, that'd be alright.
And if Hell exists, save me a seat, would you? I don't wanna be the only guy standing up at the party.
